MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the South Lake/El Dorado Narcotic Enforcement Team to provide vigorous narcotic enforcement of state and federal laws within the community of South Lake Tahoe, and the rural areas within El Dorado County and Alpine County. The Narcotic Enforcement Team is dedicated to assisting local agencies and identifying, arresting and prosecuting narcotic offenders in order to make the communities safe and free from the debilitating effects of drug abuse, thereby increasing public safety.

S.L.E.D.N.E.T. is an acronym for the South Lake El Dorado Narcotic Enforcement Team. This is a specialized multi-agency investigative unit which is supervised through the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement. This task force functions with participation from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, The Alpine County Sheriff’s Department, The California Highway Patrol and The California Department of Justice. SLEDNET investigates illicit drug related offenses throughout the area of Lake Tahoe.
